Daniel Novick
Executive Director
Rabbi Daniel Novick is thrilled to be the Executive Director of George Mason University Hillel. Daniel came to Mason Hillel from its close neighbor, the Hillel at The George Washington University, where he served as the Assistant Director. A graduate of the University of Virginia and the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, Daniel brings a wealth of experiences on campus and in the wider Jewish community. By using innovative and entrepreneurial methodologies to grow community and create impact, Daniel has designed and piloted initiatives such as The Nuance Project, the DMV Hillel Pipeline Project, the GW Hillel Summer Internship Program, and most recently the NOVA Hillel Summer Network which was awarded the 2023 Innovation Award by Hillel International. As a native of Northern Virginia, Daniel understands the opportunities and potential for Mason Hillel to reach its diverse demographic of students and to continue to build the organization into an even more active, engaging institution both for Mason students and others living in the growing and vibrant Northern Virginia area. Daniel is a huge Washington sports fan, a potato connoisseur, and loves traveling and enjoying the outdoors. Daniel is married to Rabbi Sarah Krinsky who currently serves as the Associate Rabbi of Adas Israel Congregation in Washington, DC.
