Jewish Learning Fellowship (JLF)

Do you want to meet new people and have deep conversations?

 

JLF is a 10-week experiential, conversational seminar for students looking to deepen their understanding of Judaism on their own terms.

 

Those who participate will get a free meal or snack at every session. All students who fulfill the Fellowship expectations earn a stipend. No prior experience with Jewish learning required. Registration for Spring 2025 is open now!

Nuance & Narrative:

Israel’s History

Do you want to dive deep into conversations about Israeli history from a diverse perspective?

​

Nuance & Narrative is a 6 week conversational seminar for students to have a safe space to have deep conversations, explore different perspectives, and hear diverse narratives.

​

Those who participate will get a free meal or snack at every session. All students who fulfill the Fellowship expectations earn a stipend. No prior experience with the topic required. Registration for Fall 2025 will open in August!

Shabbat Hosting Lab

Do you want to learn Shabbat ritual skill sets, how to host your friends for a meal, and money from Hillel to host your own Shabbat dinners? 

 

Shabbat Hosting Lab (SHL) is a 10-week experiential, conversational seminar where students explore ritual, the spirituality and significance of Shabbat, and important adulting skills.

 

Participants will receive a free meal or snack at every session. All students will host 2 Shabbat meals for their friends (Jewish or not!) in their own living space, and receive money to support their hosting needs. In addition, all participants will receive a stipend upon completion of the cohort. Registration for Spring 2025 is open now!

GayLF

Do you want a welcoming space to discuss themes of gender, sex, and sexuality in the Jewish canon? 

​

GayLF is an 8-week conversational seminar where students explore Jewish law, stories, and themes with an LGBTQ lens. 

​

Those who fulfill the Fellowship expectations earn a stipend. Anyone that is excited to learn Jewish texts with a new framework is welcome - all identifies are welcome and encouraged to learn with us. Registration for Spring 2025 is now open!
